These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Quantity Surveyors Dublin website and the engagement of our professional quantity surveying and cost management services. By accessing our website or instructing our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Professional Services

Quantity Surveyors Dublin provides professional quantity surveying, cost planning, construction budgeting, project feasibility, and related cost management services for residential, commercial, and mixed-use construction projects across Dublin and Ireland. All services are subject to an agreed written brief, scope of services, and fee arrangement prior to commencement.

2. Professional Standards

All services are delivered in accordance with the professional standards and ethical guidelines applicable to quantity surveying practice in Ireland. Our team operates with due skill, care, and diligence at all times, consistent with the standards expected of a qualified and experienced quantity surveying practice.

3. Fees and Payment

Our fees are agreed in advance and set out in our letter of engagement or formal quotation. Unless otherwise stated, invoices are payable within 30 days of issue. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at the rate applicable under the European Communities (Late Payment in Commercial Transactions) Regulations 2012. We also reserve the right to suspend services on accounts that remain unpaid beyond agreed terms.

4. Scope of Services

Any variation to the agreed scope of services must be authorised in writing by both parties. Additional services requested outside the original brief will be subject to a supplemental fee, which will be communicated and agreed before the additional work is undertaken.

5. Client Responsibilities

To enable us to deliver our services effectively, clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete project information, drawings, and documentation in a timely manner
  • Notifying us promptly of any changes to the project brief, scope, or programme
  • Ensuring that appropriate consents, planning permissions, and approvals are in place where required
  • Reviewing and responding to cost reports and valuations within agreed timeframes

6. Accuracy of Cost Estimates

Cost plans, estimates, and budget forecasts prepared by Quantity Surveyors Dublin are professional opinions based on information available at the time of preparation. They are not guarantees of final construction costs. Actual costs may vary due to market conditions, contractor pricing, design changes, unforeseen site conditions, or other factors outside our control. We accept no liability for variance between estimated and actual costs where such variance results from circumstances beyond our reasonable professional control.

7. Confidentiality

We treat all client project information as strictly confidential and will not disclose it to any third party without your prior written consent, except where required by law or by a professional regulatory authority. This obligation of confidentiality survives the termination of our engagement.

8. Intellectual Property

All cost reports, documents, drawings, and other deliverables produced by Quantity Surveyors Dublin remain our intellectual property until all fees have been paid in full. Upon full payment, the client receives a licence to use the deliverables for the specific project for which they were prepared. No deliverable may be used for any other purpose without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability to you in respect of any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific services giving rise to the claim. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of contract, or loss of anticipated savings.
